Teller County Native Plant Masters

The mission of the Native Plant Master Program is to educate the public about native plants in order to foster stewardship, sustainable landscaping, and management of weeds that threaten native ecosystems.  The Native Plant Master Program is a fun way to spend time in the field this summer, getting to know the plants of the central mountains of Colorado.

As a Native Plant Master you’ll be able to incorporate native plants into your home landscape to save water and avoid pollution from fertilizers and other chemicals. You’ll learn about  local native plants in the field, and discover plant relationships with animals that pollinate, consume, and nest in them. And, you’ll learn more about native plants than you ever thought possible: how they grow, how to identify them, and why the natural world could not exist without them.

2023 Native Plant Master Courses in Teller County

We will be hosting local wildflower walks this year instead of the traditional native plant master classes. The first one will be held July 15, from 9-10 a.m. and will be limited to only 20 attendees to keep the group manageable. If interested, please RSVP with my Admin, Raisha at evansr@co.teller.co.us
